PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 8 WEEKS FOR SHIPMENT. This is the best sounding amplifier we make. If the portability factor of the SIX or even the TEN model aren’t the most important factor to you, and your primary interest is in sound quality, the TWELVE is the choice for you. Still only 26 pounds, the 12″ speaker provides greater low frequency response and projection, and because the cabinets are made in much smaller quantities, the wood is more dense and higher quality. As these are lower demand, they are rarely in stock and each one is built on a semi-custom basis to order. Custom colors are therefore available at no additional charge, please inquire about options after placing your order.

Now in a 12″ speaker version, and only 26 lbs! Do you want a portable amplifier that gives you the quality of tone for BOTH electric and acoustic instruments that you’d expect from a studio situation with enough volume to cover almost any gig?  Of course you do.  That’s why if you play guitar, or any stringed instrument with a pickup for that matter, you need a Bud TWELVE.  The Bud TWELVE has every feature you need and more than enough volume to get your bandmates or club manager to ask you to turn down, and coupled with the extension cabinet you can keep up with the heaviest-handed drummer with no problem.  The amp and cabinet are naturally feedback resistant which limits the need for artificial notch filtering and other suppression technologies that negatively effect your tone.

But it’s not all about size and volume, there are lots of tiny, loud amplifiers on the market.  You’ve tried them. You know what they sound like.  The Bud TWELVE is different.  Henriksen Amplifiers is all about tone first, the incredibly portable size and feature set of The Bud were developed around the sound, not the other way around and you can definitely hear the difference.  Our pre-amp, from input to output, is designed using the highest grade audio components. We offer a 5-band EQ with carefully chosen center frequencies which were fine-tuned by ear to meet the demands of different playing environments using the widest possible array of musical instruments.  We give you two identical pre-amps, each with independent EQ and reverb and actual 48 volt phantom power, and an auxiliary input on each channel so that whatever you are using it for can be EQ’d separately from your instrument signal.

1 review for The Bud TWELVE

  1. Greg Ingold

Just received the Henriksen Bud12 today. All I can say is “Wow!” The volume knob didn’t get past 10 o’clock and it filled my basement with pure, gorgeous acoustic guitar tone. The four knob EQ contours and tailors the signal smoothly and effectively. The reverb sounds natural and even when maxed out still retains its musicality without any harshness or over-saturation.

I haven’t tried two signals yet (mic and guitar) but I feel confident it can handle the load and then some.

The amp feels solid and seems like it is built to last a long, long time. It came with a padded cover, which is a nice touch.

I can’t imagine any situation I would ever play in where this amp could not handle the workload. Bravo!
